Now Hiring: Paramedics & EMTs – Join the Gold Standard in EMS

Beaufort County EMS is seeking highly skilled and dedicated EMS professionals to join our premier, non–fire-based 911 emergency medical service. Our department is proud to offer one of the most desirable shift schedules in the industry, 24/72 rotation, and providing the work-life balance today’s EMS professionals deserve.

What Makes Beaufort County EMS Different:

  • Dedicated 911 EMS Response – We are not fire-based and do not provide routine facility transports.
  • No Firefighting Duties – Focus exclusively on emergency medical response.
  • 24/72 Shift Schedule – Extended recovery and personal time built into your schedule.
  • Competitive Compensation – Includes salary, benefits, and paid holidays.
  • High-Quality Resources – Modern equipment, professional uniforms, and body armor provided.
  • Balanced Call Volume – Approximately 21,000 calls annually with 11 frontline ambulances and 5 Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs). Unlike larger systems with the same number of units responding to 50,000+ calls, our structure supports better call distribution, less fatigue, and higher quality patient care.

We understand the challenges EMS personnel face in dual-response or transport-heavy systems. At Beaufort County EMS, we’ve built a structure that allows you to focus on what you do best—delivering exceptional pre-hospital care.

If you’re looking for a forward-thinking agency that prioritizes professional development, employee well-being, and operational excellence, we invite you to apply.
